| 1 | Remove left or right rear seat cushion | AR91.12-P-1020SXS | |
| 2 | Fold down rear head restraints | ||
| 3 | Release upholstery above center armrest (3) on the release levers (2) (arrows) and remove upward | ||
| 4 | Remove left or right side paneling in rear. | AR68.30-P-4780SXS | |
| 5 | Undo bolts (4) on seat adjustment mechanism | *BA91.12-P-1002-03H | |
| 6 | Undo bolts (5) on rear seat backrest (1) | *BA91.12-P-1003-03H | |
| 7 | Slide rear seat backrest (1) upwards and remove | ||
| 8 | Detach electrical connector from left rear backrest angle adjustment motor or right rear backrest angle adjustment motor | ||
| 9 | Detach left rear multicontour backrest connector (X54/33) or right rear multicontour backrest connector (X54/34) and pneumatic line (8) | ||
| 10 | Disconnect electrical connector (9). | ||
| 11 | Remove rear seat backrest (1) | ||
| 12 | Install in the reverse order |
