REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1 Detach ground line (2) to on-board electrical system battery (G1)   AR54.10-P-0003-02SXH
2 Remove bolt (5), place bracket (4) to one side and pull on-board electrical system battery (G1) forward slightly TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, battery bracket to body *BA54.10-P-1027-01C 
3 Remove positive terminal cover    
4 Detach positive line (6) from on-board electrical system battery (G1) INSTALLATION NOTES Check that the positive line (6) is seated securely.
The positive terminal and the electrical system can otherwise be damaged.
 
5 Detach vent hose from on-board electrical system battery (G1) INSTALLATION NOTES Make sure that the vent hose is routed without kinks.
Ventilation of the on-board electrical system battery (G1) can otherwise not be guaranteed.
 
6 Remove on-board electrical system battery (G1) IMPORTANT If the on-board electrical system battery (G1) is replaced, the defect on-board electrical system battery (G1) must be disposed of properly.  
7 Install in the reverse order
