DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
NOTES Information on tires/rims   AH40.10-P-9411-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Raise vehicle with vehicle lift    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR AR00.60-P-1000SX
2 Unfasten wheel bolts and wheels using wheel lift IMPORTANT Note modified wheel bolts for "17 inch" forged wheel (long wheel bolt).  
INSPECT Check     
3 Check tires for signs of damage and make sure that they are in good condition   AP40.10-P-4051Z 
4 Clean and check wheel bolt connection components, then protect against corrosion   AP40.10-P-4050-01A
NOTES Before mounting a wheel-and-tire assembly all  the operation steps listed in the linked description must be conducted carefully.
The complete wheel can otherwise work its way loose from the vehicle.
 
Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20 *BR00.45-Z-1005-06A 
INSTALLING Install     
5 Change round wheel-and-tire assemblies on front and rear axles If necessary, subject to separate repair order and only for vehicles without mixed tires.
NOTES Maintain running direction of wheel-and-tire assemblies.
Otherwise handling characteristics and handling comfort may be impaired and tire wear increased.
 
6 Mount wheels using wheel lift and tighten wheel bolts IMPORTANT Observe the tightening sequence (1 to 5) and tightening torque.
IMPORTANT Note modified wheel bolts for "17 inch" forged wheel (long wheel bolt).
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, disk wheel to wheel hub or flange *BA40.10-P-1001-01L 
7 Lower vehicle    
8 Correct tire pressure of front and rear axle tires   AP40.15-P-4061A 
In the event of unusual tire pressure loss:

Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.
9.1 Activate tire pressure loss warning Model 216

except code 475 (Tyre pressure monitoring system)
 
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   AR54.30-P-1000-02RAW
IMPORTANT Only for wheel-and-tire assembly change, tire replacement or a change in tire pressure.  
9.2 Activate the tire pressure monitoring system Model 216

with code 475 (Tyre pressure monitoring system)
