Automatic air conditioning actuator motors, component description - GF83.40-P-2197SX
MODEL 216.3, 221.0/1 up to Model Year 8
Location
The actuator motors are located in the air conditioner housing.
Task
The actuation of the actuator motors causes a corresponding adjustment of the air duct flaps in the AC housing. As a result, the air distribution is controlled in the vehicle interior.
After inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73), the actual position of the particular air duct flap that was stored before switching off is sent to each actuator motor.
During regulation, the AAC [KLA] control unit (N22/1) cyclically transmits a specified value to each actuator motor, which automatically moves to the desired position. Correspondingly, the actuator motor transmits its current position to the AAC [KLA] control unit.
