Remove/install extinguishing agent tank - AR86.10-P-0100SXS

MODEL 221.1 with CODE (Z07) Top protection with fire extinguishing system

MODIFICATION NOTES

8.5.07 "Transportation of filled extinguishing agent tanks is only allowed without squibs and with squib opening sealed", added   OS86.10-P-1000-02A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
IMPORTANT Notes on aerosol extinguishing agent tank   AH86.10-P-0001-02A
1 Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit    
2.1 Remove paneling from extinguishing agent tank (1). On vehicles without emergency fresh air system. AR86.10-P-0103SXS 
2.2 Remove trunk floor paneling and equipment carrier plate On vehicles with emergency fresh-air system. AR68.30-P-4600SXS
3 Remove fuse 6 from fuse box I, rear right wheel well    
REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE Fuse and relay box, as-built configuration   GF54.15-P-0800SXS
4 Disconnect electrical wiring harness (8) on extinguishing agent tank squib 1 (R42) and extinguishing agent tank squib 2 (R42/1)    
5 Disconnect fire extinguishing tank 1 pressure monitor connector (S62/27x1) and fire extinguishing tank 2 pressure monitor connector (S62/28x1)

6 Unscrew union nuts (4) and carefully pull fire extinguishing pipes (5) out of connectors (7) on extinguishing agent tank (1)    
7 Remove upper bracket (3)    
8 Remove bracket (2) and extinguishing agent tank (1) INSTALLATION NOTES Observe different adjustment of connectors (7) for extinguishing agent tank (1). Do not touch extinguishing agent tank squib 1 (R42) or extinguishing agent tank squib 2 (R42/1) with associated electrical wiring harness (8), otherwise damage can lead to erroneous actuation of the fire extinguishing system.  
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check weight of extinguishing agent tank (1). Always check weight before installing to prevent installing any extinguishing agent tanks (1) with insufficient quantity of extinguishing agent.
Each extinguishing agent tank (1) should have an additional weight of 60 g as indicated. If the gross weight is less than 50 g, replace extinguishing agent tank (1).
If the extinguishing agent tank (1) is replaced, dispose of extinguishing agent tank (1) properly. Refer to: ↓

9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Perform self-test for fire extinguishing system   AR86.10-P-0101-01SXS
