	Notes on fiber optical cable	Model 220 with CODE (819) CD changer (6-disc).
	Notes on D2B ring
	Remove
	Risk of explosion  caused by escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of injury  caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or metal spatter due to short circuit. Risk of burn injuries  caused by short circuit. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or absorption of lead over the skin or orifices	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards. Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground. Only fill liquid battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
1	Disconnect battery ground line

	Notes on AGM battery	Model 220.028 with code (450) Taxi version. Models 220.070/075/175/178/875/878 as of 1.1.01.
2	Remove coverings in trunk	Left side paneling. If a side wall paneling without access flap for the CD changer has been installed, this must be replaced with one with an access flap.
	Install
3	Extend fiber optical cable ring for components to be retrofitted		AN82.64-P-0001-05M
	Cover fiber optical cable	Do not buckle or extend D2B fiber optical cable.  Install cover caps on optical waveguide connector and equipment connection.	AR82.95-P-0005-01A
4	Retrofit CD changer in trunk		AN82.64-P-0001-04M
5	Fit remaining parts to vehicle	Steps 2 to 1
6	Perform startup with STAR DIAGNOSIS.	Perform nominal/actual configuration.
7	Perform function check	See owner's manual.
8	Add special equipment to the vehicle data card and to the online vehicle data card	CD changer, 6-disc (code 819)
