Remove/install CD player with changer - AR82.64-P-7507MN

MODELS 220.0/1, 215.3 as of 1.9.02 with CODE (819) 6-disc CD changer Common bracket for CD changer and navigation processor 

Shown on model 220 as of model year 2004 (code 804) with MOST fiber optical cable and sound system (code 810)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of injury  caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or metal spatter due to short circuit. Risk of burn injuries  caused by short circuit. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte (contains diluted sulfuric acid) or absorption of lead over the skin or orifices No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards.
Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground.
Only fill liquid battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
 
1 Disconnect battery ground line    
NOTES Notes on battery All models  
IMPORTANT Notes on AGM battery Model 215 as of 1.1.01.
Model 220.028 with code (450) Taxi version.
Models 220.070/075/175/178/875/878 as of 1.1.01.
 
2 Remove coverings in trunk IMPORTANT Left side paneling.  
3 Unscrew screws (2).    
4 Unscrew nut (3) and bolt (4) from bracket (1).    
5 Remove CD player with changer (in luggage compartment) (A2/6) with bracket (1) from the left wheelhouse recess NOTESDo not kink or stretch fiber optic cables! Do not damage standard wiring harness (23).   
6 Unlock fiber optical cable coupling (11) at CD player with changer (in luggage compartment) (A2/6) and detach NOTESDo not buckle or extend fiber optical cable, routing radii must be greater than 25 mm! 
IMPORTANT If the CD player with changer (in luggage compartment) (A2/6) is to remain removed over a longer period of time, install an adapter to close the fiber optical cable ring.
 
7 Detach black, 3-pin coupling (24) (voltage supply) from CD player with changer (in luggage compartment) (A2/6)    
8.1 Detach black, 8-pin coupling (33) (voltage supply of navigation processor), blue coupling (34) (GPS antenna line) and fiber optical cable coupling (31) from navigation processor (N41/1) IMPORTANT Only for COMAND APS (with navigation) code (527a)  
9 Unscrew the 4 bolt M4X6 (21) to the right and left at bracket (1) and remove CD player with changer (in luggage compartment) (A2/6) from bracket (1)    
10 Install in the reverse order IMPORTANT Bracket (1) is locked in bracket (6) with the locking tabs (25).  
INSPECT Check     
11 Perform function check IMPORTANT See owner's manual.
