Detach tie rod from steering knuckle, discontinued Detach upper transverse control arm from steering knuckle, discontinued

	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	Notes on AIRmatic		AH32.22-P-1000-02SX
1	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100SX
2	Release pressure in suspension strut (40) completely using STAR DIAGNOSIS
3	Detach pressure line (40a) from suspension strut (40)	If pressure line connection or pressure line (40a) is damaged: ↓	*BA32.25-P-1003-04L
		Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection.	AR32.22-P-2001-02SX

			*BA32.22-P-1004-03D

4	Unscrew nuts (40b)		*BA32.25-P-1001-04L
5	Remove front wheel
	Remove/install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050SX
6	Disconnect electrical line (1) of front axle damping valve unit from front axle electrical distributor connector		AR33.10-P-0100-06SX
7	Unclip brake hose (4) and electrical line (1) from bracket (5)
8	Unscrew nut (40c) and press suspension strut (40) out of spring control arm (6)	The thrust piece from the puller (01) is not required. Turn steering onto lock: Left side: Turn steering onto left lock. Right side: Turn steering onto right lock.

9	Remove suspension strut (40) downward toward rear	Turn steering onto lock: Left side: Turn steering onto left lock. Right side: Turn steering onto right lock.
	Checking
10	Check suspension strut (40)	When replacing or reinstalling, check the condition and if damaged or faulty replace the suspension strut (40): ↓	AR32.25-P-1017-02SX
		Dispose of suspension strut.	OS32.25-P-0122-01SX
11	Install in the reverse order
12	Check connection of pressure line (40a) to suspension strut (40) for leaks		AR32.22-P-8100SX
