	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Remove engine covers
2	Slacken poly-V belt and remove	To do so, swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (4) counterclockwise, remove poly-V belt and detention clamping device (1). Do not use wax or similar products, as this may cause the poly-V belt to slip.
2	Slacken poly-V belt and remove	Observe routing plan for poly-V belt.	AR13.22-P-3902-02MM
	Checking
3	Inspect belt pulley sections, tensioning device (1) and guide pulleys (3)	Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary.
4	Check poly-V belt	Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary.	AP13.22-P-1352SX
	Only perform steps 5 through 9 for remove/install of clamping device (1).
5	Remove front section of lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105SX
6	Lock clamping device (1)	Swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (4) counterclockwise and lock in place using drift (8).
7	Remove bolts on clamping device (1)		*BA13.25-P-1001-01Y
8	Remove clamping device (1) downwards
9	Slacken clamping device (1)	When replacing the clamping device (1) Clamp tensioning device (1) in a vise, swivel at hexagon (4) in an anti-clockwise direction, pull out drift (8) and slacken tensioning device (1). The clamping device (1) can be mounted in both a locked and an unlocked condition.
	Only perform steps 10 through 12 for removal/installation of guide pulleys (3)
10	Remove left charge air ducts	When removing guide pulley (3) on the left engine side	AR09.41-P-8620MMB
11	Remove bolts for guide pulleys (3)		*BA13.25-P-1002-01Y
11	Remove bolts for guide pulleys (3)		*BA13.25-P-1005-01Y
12	Remove guide pulleys (3)
	Only carry out steps 13 and 14 for removing/installing the upper guide pulley
13	Remove bolts for upper guide pulley carrier	Vehicles with AIRmatic
13	Remove bolts for upper guide pulley carrier		*BA13.25-P-1003-01Y
14	Remove upper guide pulley and carrier from timing case cover	Vehicles with AIRmatic

15	Install in the reverse order
