Location
The MSS control unit is located behind the right-hand trim in the luggage compartment in the right rear wheelhouse recess.
Task
The MSS control unit makes possible the connection of special mounting parts to the standard on-board electronics via the interior CAN.
Discrete inputs
- Fresh air system emergency control unit (N142) (on vehicles with emergency fresh air system)
- PAS [GAS] and special signal system control unit (N26/12) (on vehicles with panic alarm system (GAS))
- Fire extinguishing system control unit (N100) (on vehicles with fire extinguishing system)
The following requests are transmitted by the MSS control unit via the interior CAN:
- Emergency fresh air system and fire extinguishing system:
- Close air recirculation flaps
- Shutoff of blower motor (A32m1)
- Panic alarm system (GAS):
- Activate front fog lamps, low beam or high beam
- Activate hazard warning system
- Lock central locking system (ZV)
