	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit
2	Remove right side of panel in trunk		AR68.30-P-4800GQ
3	Unscrew screw/bolt (1) and disconnect ground line from additional battery (G1/13)	Bolt, battery cable to battery terminal on additional battery	BA54.10-P-1013-01C
	Check
4	Check on-board electrical system for voltage	To do this, connect diode test lamp between positive line of the additional battery (G1/13) and suitable ground point. If the diode test lamp lights up, the on-board electrical system is still active because of a defect in the electrical system. In this case: ↓ Detach ground line from on-board electrical system battery.

5	Unscrew bolt (2) and remove positive line	Bolt, battery cable to battery terminal on additional battery	BA54.10-P-1013-01C
6	Pull out vent hose (3)
7	Unscrew bolt (4) from bracket (5)	Check catches (arrows) are correctly seated.
8	Swivel bracket (5) upwards
9	Remove additional battery (G113) from battery holder
10	Install in the reverse order
