MODEL 204.0/2 with CODE (299) PRE-SAFE as of model year 2009/YoM 08
MODEL 204.3 with CODE (299) PRE-SAFE
MODEL 204.9 with CODE (299) PRE-SAFE
Shown on model 204.0
Location
The reversible emergency tensioning retractors are located in the respective B-pillar.
Task
The reversible emergency tensioning retractors perform the functions of the PRE-SAFE system and, as of 1.6.09, the seat belt slack reduction function.
The reversible emergency tensioning retractors perform the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuating components
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connection:
- Chassis CAN (CAN E)
Chassis CAN
The signals are received by the reversible emergency tensioning retractor via chassis CAN.
The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The variables read in by the integrated microprocessor are evaluated and the components for the corresponding reversible emergency tensioning retractor are immediately actuated.
Component actuation
The components are actuated via the following connection:
- Chassis CAN
Chassis CAN
The signals are sent by the reversible emergency tensioning retractor via chassis CAN.
The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
