Location
The CDI control unit is built into the engine compartment at the right in front of the windshield.
For model 204.9 the CDI control unit is located behind the fender liner at the front right.
Task
The CDI control unit has the followings tasks:
- Controlling of the common rail diesel injection (CDI) function
- Input and output signals
Control of the CDI function
The CDI control unit actuates the CDI functions:
- Fuel supply
- Glow functions
- Injection control
- Exhaust gas cleaning
- Boost pressure control
- Refrigerant compressor cutout (A9)
- Shutoff control
The CDI control unit is equipped with a fault memory, which can be read out via STAR DIAGNOSIS.
The CDI control unit has an internal atmospheric pressure sensor.
