Remove/install loudspeaker amplifier control unit - AR82.62-P-7720CY

MODEL 204.9 with CODE (810) Sound system

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Buffer basic data of sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) in STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Transmit buffered basic data to new sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).
 
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
3 Open left cover (1) of cargo area paneling at side    
4 Loosen bolts (2); do not remove completely    
5 Take out sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) with bracket (3) until electrical connector with fiber optic cable (5) and electrical connector (4) are accessible    
6 Disconnect electrical connector with fiber optic cable (5) and cover equipment connector at sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3)    
NOTES Notes on avoiding damage to fiber optic cables during repair work With Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) AH82.60-P-0001-05AK
7 Disconnect electrical connector (4)    
8 Unclip electrical wiring harness from bracket (3)    
9 Unscrew nuts (6) and detach bracket (3) from sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) When replacing bracket (3) or sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).  
10 Install in the reverse order
