Operating instructions
Via the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) various menu levels can be shown in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the IC (A1):
- The system selection button (S110s3) can be used to scroll through each menu level.
- Using the OK n/(S110s6) the corresponding selection or imminent messages are confirmed.
- The scroll forward and back button (S110s1) can be used within a chosen system selection to browse through the submenus.
- The "Back" and voice control system off (S110s4) button can be used in each menu and submenu to jump into the next higher menu level.
All the buttons of the multifunction steering wheel button group are always installed. Activation of the corresponding functions however depends on the equipment installed in the vehicle.

"Trip" menu
The following functions can be selected in the "Trip" menu:
- Show standard display or
reset odometer
- Show or reset trip computer "After start"
- Show or reset trip computer "After reset"
- Show range and instantaneous fuel consumption
- Display digital speedometer
- "ECO-Score" display (driving style analysis)

"Navi" menu
Navigation notes are displayed in the "Navi" menu when the function is switched on. When the function is switched off, the display shows the direction of travel with cardinal points
(e.g. "NW direction of travel").
"Audio" menu
The following functions can be selected in the "Audio" menu:
- Select radio station
- Operate CD player/CD changer/DVD changer/DVD audio/MP3
- Operate DVD video
Telephone (tel) menu
The name of the selected mobile telephone network is shown in the telephone menu when the function is switched on. It is still possible then to scroll through the stored telephone book and select an entry.
If a telephone is not detected when the function is switched on, the message "Ready for Bluetooth telephony" appears.
Assist menu
The following functions can be selected in the "Assist" menu:
- Switch "ESP" to passive, active or on model 204.077/277/377 also to switch to "Sport mode" (as of 1.6.10, except model 204.9)
- Switch "Speed Limit" on or off

"AMG" menu (model 204.077/277/377)
The following submenus can be called up in the "AMG" menu:
- "Warm Up" submenu
- "Setup" submenu
- "Race-Timer" submenu
"Warm Up" submenu
The following information can be displayed in the "Warm up" menu:
- Engine oil temperature (temperature flashes at T < 80 °C)
- Coolant oil temperature (temperature flashes at T < 80 °C)
- Gear range set, gear engaged and transmission mode selected
- Average speed
- Ambient temperature
- Time
"Setup" submenu
The following information can be displayed in the "Setup" menu:
- Engaged gear range (e.g. P, N or D)
- Driving program adjustment ("C", "S", "S+" or "M"
(up to 31.5.10) or "E", "S", "S+" or "M" (as of 1.6.10))
- Gear engaged
- Average speed
- Status of Electronic Stability Program (ESP®)
- Ambient temperature display
- Time
"Race-Timer" submenu
The following information is displayed in the "Race-Timer" submenu:
- Race timer
- Engaged gear
- Average speed
- Current lap time
- Best lap time
- Outside temperature indicator
- Time
- Overall evaluation:
- Total driving time
- Maximum speed reached
- Average speed (total)
- Travel distance covered (total)
- Outside temperature indicator
- Time
Upshift requests are shown from within all menu items. The display is shown when the multifunction display turns red.
"Service" menu
You can choose between the following submenus in the "Service" menu:
- "Messages" (with number of stored fault messages or warning messages)
- "Tire pressure" (with code (470) Tire pressure monitor (standard)
or code (475) Tire pressure monitor (premium) (Schrader))
- "ASSYST PLUS" (e.g. display of remaining distance until next service)
Set up menu
In the "Settings" menu the following submenus are displayed in which various adjustments can be performed:
- "Instrument cluster"

- "Time/date" (only vehicles without navigation system)
