	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from EIS control unit	On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
2	Remove panel (1) in load compartment	For model 164.8 remove left stowage compartment.
3	Disconnect electrical connector (2)
4	Unscrew nuts (3).	For model 164.1 undo four nuts (3). For model 164.8 undo three nuts (3).
5	Remove left taillamp (E3) or right taillamp (E4) to the rear	Ensure that the rubber seal is secured properly.
6	Install in the reverse order
