Headlamp cleaning system, general
The headlamp cleaning system cleans the headlamps automatically.
Function sequence for headlamp cleaning system
After five washing requests from the combination switch (S4) the front SAM control unit (N10) automatically actuates the HCS pump (M5/2). The HCS pump is actuated again after five washing requests from the combination switch.
The number of washing requests is determined by a counter in the front SAM control unit.
The counter is reset automatically when the five washing requests are performed, manually by switching off c. 15 or by switching off the low beams.
The status of the combination switch is read in by the steering column tube module (N80), routed to the interior CAN via the central gateway control unit (N93) and read in by the front SAM control unit.
The status of the rotary light switch (S1) is read in via the instrument panel LIN by the upper control panel control unit(N72/1) and is relayed to the front SAM control unit via the interior CAN.
