Pressing tapered roller bearing off and on rear axle shaft - AR35.30-P-7351-01GX

Pressing off 

  1. Insert assembly plate MPECIAL TOOL between tapered roller bearing cover and rear axle shaft.

  2. Place rear axle shaft with assembly plate MPECIAL TOOL into the press.
  3. Press tapered roller bearing cap with radial sealing ring and tapered roller bearing off the rear axle shaft

    Pressing on 

  4. Mount circlip onto rear axle shaft.

    IMPORTANT Replace circlip, the flat side must point towards the slotted nut. The circlip is fitted in order to ensure that the pressing on is done over the inner tapered roller bearing race only.

    NOTES The anti-twist lock of the circlip must align with the milled section of the rear axle shaft otherwise the rear axle shaft will be damaged.

  5. Route rear axle shaft through the bore in the assembly plate MPECIAL TOOL .
  6. Place rear axle shaft together with assembly plate MPECIAL TOOL into the press.
  7. Press tapered roller bearing onto rear axle shaft as far as the stop.

NOTES The tapered roller bearing outer race must be rotated throughout the pressing on procedure, in order to avoid any damage to the tapered roller bearing.
