Install and adjust differential lock shift cylinder - AR35.40-P-9131-02F

DIFFERENTIAL LOCK CYLINDER

  1. Mount shift cylinder with new seal on the axle tube and screw in mounting bolts.

    IMPORTANT The gearshift lever must engage in the mounting hole of the gearshift tube. Do not tighten mounting bolts, it must still be possible to move the shift cylinder.

  2. Move shift cylinder to the applied position using hydraulic or pneumatic pressure.
  3. Move shift cylinder towards the differential (arrow) until the dog clutch's stop is reached. In doing so turn the axle shafts, until the differential lock noticeably latches into place.

    IMPORTANT Only move the shift cylinder so that the inner spring is not clamped. The shift cylinder must not move back when released.

  4. Tighten mounting bolts of the shift cylinder in this position TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  5. Remove the hydraulic or pneumatic pressure applied in step  2 from the shift cylinder.
  6. By rotating the axle shafts, check whether the differential lock has disengaged.

    IMPORTANT The differential lock must be unlocked.
