  Location of steering column adjustment motor group The steering column fore and aft motor (M20/1) and the steering column up and down motor (M20/2) are located on the steering column.  
  Steering column adjustment motor group, task Vertical and longitudinal adjustment of the steering column.  
  Steering column adjustment motor group, design The steering column fore and aft motor (M20/1) and the steering column up and down motor (M20/2) are DC motors, the RPM of which depends on the level of the actuation voltage. For position measurement they each have a Hall sensor.  
  Function of steering column adjustment motor group The steering column fore and aft motor (M20/1) moves the steering column towards the driver or away from him. The steering column up and down motor (M20/2) makes possible the height adjustment of the steering column.
