Location
The condenser with integral fluid reservoir is in front of the radiator.
Task
The condenser ensures that the refrigerant compressed by the refrigerant compressor (A9) changes state from gas to liquid.
The hot refrigerant compressed by the refrigerant compressor flows into the condenser from above. The coiled pipes and lamellae absorb this heat extremely rapidly and give it off into the outside air.
This in turn cools the refrigerant. The refrigerant condenses as it cools down and becomes liquid. The liquefied refrigerant enters the fluid reservoir under pressure and flows through a stainless-steel fabric layer to the filter block. The filter block can absorb a specific amount of water. The filter block's pores are matched exactly to the molecular size of the refrigerant. Thus the refrigerant can flow through the filter block. All other substances are held back and retained. The cleaned refrigerant is delivered to the expansion valve via a pressure line.
