Dynamic enrichment prevents jerking when accelerating.
During fast opening of the throttle valve the mixture leans out briefly and is enriched briefly during fast closing of the throttle valve. This results in brief mixture adaptation in which an additional or a reduced quantity of fuel is allocated to the engine by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit depending on the performance map.
Acceleration enrichment is dependent on:
- Coolant temperature
- Engine load
- Rate of load change (rate of depressing or releasing accelerator)
- Engine speed
- Correction programming with STAR DIAGNOSIS
