Location
The left front GPS antenna is installed in the upper area of the left headlamp.
Task
The GPS signal (GPS = Global Positioning System) is received by the left front GPS antenna and transmitted directly by means of the HF line (HF = High Frequency) to the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
Accurate position finding of the vehicle down to approx. 10 m is the result.
