Commissioning and operating

When the "NAV" button on the APS radio and navigation operating unit (A2/29)  is pressed, the navigation system is activated and the base menu appears on the display (APS navigation CD-ROM has to be inserted in the APS navigation processor (A2/30)  ). Turning the rotary knob to the right results in a switch between the menu points, which are activated by briefly pressing the right-hand rotary knob. Pressing and holding (> 2 s) confirms characters entered (e.g. for entering a position). Return to the previous menu by pressing the "RET" button.

Entering destination

Press "NAV" button. The navigation basic menu appears in the display. Turn the right-hand rotary knob to select and confirm e.g. "ADDRESS ENTRY". Enter the first letters of the name of the locality and confirm by pressing and holding the right-hand rotary knob. A list of localities now appears, beginning with the characters entered. The street which you are looking for is then selected in the same way.

Voice output

When the left-hand rotary knob is pressed, the last voice output is repeated. Turning the rotary knob during a voice output alters the volume (the setting of the radio, cassette or CD colume remains unchanged).
