Top view of DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE
Location
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is in the center console.
Task
General
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE performs non-contact detection of the positions of the selector lever via integrated sensors with Hall elements, and detection of the status of the "P" button.
Flash programming
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is flashable, i.e. the complete control unit software can be changed (updated). The software required to program the control units is stored on the Star Diagnosis software DVD.
CAN data bus
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE is connected over the drive CAN (CAN C) and the chassis CAN (CAN E) to the vehicle's CAN network and exchanges data with other control units.
Input and output signals
The DIRECT SELECT INTERFACE evaluates the following input signals and outputs the appropriate output signals:
- Direct input signals
- Direct output signals
- Drive train CAN input signals
- Drive train CAN output signals
