Notes on installing brake hoses - AH42.10-P-9406-01A

Only install brake hoses (51) which are approved by Mercedes-Benz.

When connecting brake hoses (51) ensure that the brake hose (51) is not assembled twisted (free of twists). An adequate distance from other axle components must be guaranteed in all driving situations.

Model 129, 140

A retainer plate with a twelve point profile or multipoint head profile is attached to the bracket (52). Insert brake hose (51) in the retainer plate (60) so that it does not chafe on vehicle parts on full left and right steering angle and at full bump and rebound travel.

On the connector of the brake hose (51) there are two elevated sections (arrow) which lock the brake hose (51) in the multi-point profile of the bracket.

Ensure that the retaining spring (1) is correctly installed.
