| Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. | Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition | ||
| 2 | Slowly open cap (1) on expansion reservoir (2) and remove | ||
| 3 | Clamp off coolant hose (3) using a suitable tool | ||
| 4 | Suction coolant out of expansion reservoir (2) | Fig 2 | |
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connector (4) | ||
| 6 | Release lock (5a) and pull out coolant lines (5) from expansion reservoir (2) | ||
| 7 | Unscrew nut (6) and lift expansion reservoir (2) | ||
| 8 | Remove coolant hose (3) on expansion reservoir (2) | Fig 3 | |
| 9 | Install in the reverse order | ||

| 10 | Check coolant level and correct if necessary | ||
