Risk of breakage!  Do not kink fiber optic cable, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.

1. If present, remove MOST coupling (13) from standard COMMAND coupling (14).

2. If present, install MOST coupling (13) in COMMAND adapter coupling (12) of interface wiring harness (10).
3. Connect standard COMMAND coupling (14) to COMMAND adapter connector (11) of interface wiring harness (10).
4. Wrap COMMAND adapter connector (11) in self-adhesive felt.

   The COMMAND adapter coupling (12) of the interface wiring harness (10) is connected to the COMMAND control unit later.

5. Route interface coupling (9) of interface wiring harness (10) from COMMAND installation opening behind right side piece (19) of center console in vicinity of glove box as per picture (see enlarged detail).

Interface coupling (9) of interface wiring harness (10) will be connected to iPod interface at a later point in time.
