Glue felt to bottom and side (one side only) of illuminated door sill molding control unit (6) (see arrows).

Connect black, 33-pin coupling (5) to the illuminated door sill moldings control unit (6) and insert illuminated door sill moldings control unit (6) into bracket.
Route supply wiring harness (7) along on-board wiring harness over the right rear wheelhouse up to the cable duct to the passenger compartment and fix in place with cable ties.
Do not damage supply wiring harness (7) by squeezing or pinching it.

Connect ground branch-off line of supply wiring harness to ground (right rear wheelhouse) (W54).
Do not damage supply wiring harness by squeezing or pinching it.

Route branch-off line with orange fuse holder (8) along on-board wiring harness to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and fix in place with cable ties.
Pull back the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) slightly. Route branch-off line with orange fuse holder (8) in front of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and fix in place with cable ties.

Do not damage supply wiring harness (7) by squeezing or pinching it.

Insert orange fuse holder (8) with 10 A fuse into slot 147 on the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

Route branch-off line connection of right interior CAN/FFS [RBA] voltage distributor of supply wiring harness (7) through cable duct (9) into passenger compartment and fasten to on-board wiring harness using cable ties.
Pay attention to color coding (colored adhesive tape) on wiring harnesses. These are used for alignment with the color coding of the on-board wiring harnesses and provide the correct cable lengths if the routing has been performed correctly.

Do not damage supply wiring harness (7) by squeezing or pinching it.

Connect white, 6-pin plug (15) of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) in trunk to white, 6-pin socket (14) of supply wiring harness (7).
Fasten connector and wiring harnesses to on-board wiring harness using cable ties.

Do not damage the supply wiring harness (7) and the illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) by squeezing or pinching.

Remove cover (20) and lift carpet in rear (11).

Route branch-off line connection of right interior CAN/FFS [RBA] voltage distributor of supply wiring harness (7) beneath carpet in rear (11) along cable duct (12) to right interior CAN/FFS [RBA] voltage distributor connector (X30/33).
Connect supply wiring harness (7) to free slot of right interior CAN/FFS [RBA] potential distributor connector (X30/33).
Do not damage supply wiring harness (7) by squeezing or pinching it.

Route branch-off line for right side of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) along on-board wiring harnesses and connect to converter (13) using the black, 8-pin plug.
For each door sill molding, one converter is installed.
Secure converter (13) to on-board wiring harness beneath top of seat bench with a cable tie.
Do not damage illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) by squeezing or pinching it.

Route branch-off line for connection of right illuminated door sill molding of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) to door cutout and fix in place using adhesive felt tape.
Do not damage illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) by squeezing or pinching it.

Route branch-off line for left side of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) to left side of vehicle and fix in place using cable ties or adhesive felt tape.
Do not damage illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) by squeezing or pinching it.

Route branch-off line for left side of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) along on-board wiring harnesses and connect to converter (13) using the black, 8-pin plug.
For each door sill molding, one converter is installed.
Glue felt to converter (13) and slide converter (13) into cable duct (12).
Route branch-off line for connection of left illuminated door sill molding of illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) to door cutout and fix in place using adhesive felt tape.

Do not damage illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) by squeezing or pinching it.

Tie back excess lengths of the illuminated door sill moldings wiring harness (10) and fasten to on-board wiring harnesses using cable ties.
