	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Notes on avoiding damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Carry out control unit adaptations using STAR DIAGNOSIS	Only when replacing the control unit ME (N3/10).
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
			*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
2	Remove bolts (2) and take off cover (1) from front left fuse box	The ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) is located on the inside of the cover (1). Inspect rubber seal in cover (1), replace if necessary.
3	Remove bolts (4) and take out retaining plate (5)
4	Unlock and detach electrical connectors (6) on ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)
5	Push retaining clamps (7) outwards and remove ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)
6	Install in the reverse order
7	Read out fault memory and erase if required		*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
