ME-SFI [ME] vehicle features - AH07.61-P-0002-02C

Engine 104, 111, 112, 119, 120 with low emission D3 (code 923a) 

IMPORTANT

The Vehicle Taxation Revisions Act came into effect in Germany on 1.7.97. Vehicles which are classified as "low emission D3" enjoy the benefit of lower vehicle taxation rates. The "low emission D3" emission concept is controlled by means of code 923. The following modifications result for individual models and engines in series production as of approx. 7/97:

(1) Nozzle in vacuum line improves vacuum buildup in brake booster. Necessary if idling speed after engine start is increased for a short time to heat up TWC.

Retrofit can be performed on engine 112 in model 202/208 and model 210 with 4MATIC up to approx. 6/97, refer to Work Instructions:

In the case of engines 112 in model 210.061/261, 210.063 and 210.065/265 (sedan/station wagon) with EURO2, customers are provided with a manufacturer's certificate (or this can be requested from MBVD/SEK). This certificate enables the vehicle documentation to be amended at the vehicle registration center to "D3" without the need for any technical modifications.
