Prepare B-pillar with side longitudinal member for installation - AR63.20-P-0550-04SC

IMPORTANT For all other operation steps, observe information on pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

  1. Scribe separation line on B-pillar with longitudinal member (1) with metal needle template, cut and remove section (area A).

    IMPORTANT Transfer dimension from vehicle.

  2. Grind B-pillar with longitudinal member (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas with round wire brush.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  3. Scribe position cut (B) on panel (3), cut with body saw and remove section.

    IMPORTANT Transfer dimension for cut (B) from new rear fender.

  4. Grind connection surface on panel (3) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas with round wire brush.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  5. Grind reinforcement down to bare metal in crosshatched areas with round wire brush.
