Partially install upper front longitudinal member - AR62.20-P-1287-03SX

IMPORTANT The following operation steps are shown on model 221 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Install upper front longitudinal member (1) and gas-operated spring mounting console (2) with welding device SPECIAL TOOL , fit and fasten with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  2. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes (areas A, B, C and D).
  3. SPECIAL TOOL Partially remove welding device.
  4. Remove upper front longitudinal member (1) and gas-operated spring console (2).
  5. Deburr rivet holes on both sides

  6. Apply 2-component adhesive to inner front longitudinal member (3) in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

    IMPORTANT Refer to manufacturer specifications for adhesive curing and application times.

  7. Install upper front longitudinal member (1) and gas-operated spring console (2) with SPECIAL TOOL welding device, fit and fasten with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers and COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS manual temporary fastener.
  8. Weld in upper front longitudinal member (1) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas E, F, G, H and H1 ).
  9. Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) and gas-operated spring console (2) with Polygrip flat/round head rivet, dia. 6.4 X 14 (areas A, B, C and D).

    IMPORTANT Blind rivet tool.

  10. SPECIAL TOOL Remove welding device.

  11. Weld in upper front longitudinal member (1) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area I).
  12. Remove drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner
