Install and weld in longitudinal member front section - AR62.20-P-1260-07SX

WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT

WE58.40-Z-1001-02A Inert gas welder
WE58.40-Z-1001-03A Drill (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1003-03A Angle grinder (electric/pneumatic)
WE58.40-Z-1005-03A Wet/dry vacuum cleaner

IMPORTANT The following operation steps are shown on model 221 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

  1. Install longitudinal member front section (1), fit with straightening tool (2) and attach with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  2. Weld in longitudinal member front section (1) with SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (areas A and B).
  3. Clean welds using COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.

  4. Grind longitudinal member front section (1) down flat in cross-hatched.
  5. Restore and smooth surface on longitudinal member front section (1).
  6. Remove sanding dust using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
