	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
1	Disconnect battery ground line

2	Remove COMAND controller unit	Only pull out to front until electrical connectors are accessible.	AR82.85-P-1100SC
3	Remove glove compartment		AR68.10-P-1400SX
	Install
4	Retrofit AUX jack wiring harness	Wiring harness for audio AUX jack.	AZ82.60-P-0021-01SC
5	Install in the reverse order	Steps 3 to 1.
6	Activate audio AUX jack with STAR DIAGNOSIS	Perform variant coding with STAR DIAGNOSIS to activate audio AUX function of COMAND. STAR DIAGNOSIS Compact diagnosis system for passenger cars, Order number 6511 1801 00
7	Carry out function check	Check audio AUX function as per operating instructions in vehicle.
