Remove paneling in trunk - AR68.30-P-4600SX

MODEL 221.0 

MODEL 221.1 except CODE (Z07) Top protection 

Shown on model 221 up to 1.6.08 without code (809) Model year 2009

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove refrigerator box in trunk On vehicles with code (308) Refrigerator box in center rear backrest  
2 Remover frame with flap (4) With vehicles with code (282) Ski bag (through-loading feature) or with code (308) Cooling compartment in center rear backrest  
3 Hold center paneling (5) at left upper corner (arrow A), loosen from left to right and remove on left side toward rear NOTES Carefully loosen center paneling (5) to prevent damage.
IMPORTANT Center paneling (5) can be removed separately.
On vehicles with code (308) Refrigerator compartment in center rear backrest, remove electrical plug connection for refrigerator box from center paneling (5).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT To cover gap completely, lay fabric overhang in lower area of center paneling (5) toward rear and guide fabric overhang below lower front paneling (2) after installing center paneling (5).
 
4.1 Remove lashing hooks (1) and remove lower front paneling (2). On model 221 without code (669) Spare tire on steel rim
IMPORTANT The lower front paneling (2) can be removed separately.
 
4.2 Remove lashing hooks (1) and trunk floor paneling (3). On model 221 with code (669) Spare tire on steel rim, model 216
IMPORTANT The trunk floor paneling (3) can be removed separately.
 
5 Remove clips (6) and remove paneling for spare tire well On vehicles without code (669) Spare tire with steel rim
IMPORTANT On model 221 the lower front paneling (2) must be removed.
On model 216 the trunk floor paneling (3) must be removed
 
6 Remove luggage compartment floor paneling (3) from spare tire recess paneling On vehicles without code (669) Spare tire with steel rim
When replacing spare tire well or trunk floor paneling (3).
 
7 Remove clips (7) and unclip rear center section paneling (8) with mounting wedge IMPORTANT The rear center section paneling (8) can be removed separately.

8 Remove right luggage compartment lamp (E18/4) or left luggage compartment lamp (E18/5)    
9 Remove lashing eyes (9)    
10 Loosen luggage net (10) on left or right longitudinal member paneling (18) and unclip longitudinal member paneling (18) Only if longitudinal member paneling (18) is installed if so equipped.
IMPORTANT The longitudinal member paneling (18) can be removed separately.
 
11 Remove clips (11) from left paneling (12) or right paneling (13) On model 221  
12 Remove left and right hinge lever passage frame (14) Only on model 216
IMPORTANT On model 221 the hinge lever passage frame (14) remains on the left paneling (12) or right paneling (13).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install hinge lever passage frame (14) with upper paneling (17) installed.
 
13 Remove left paneling (12) or right paneling (13) IMPORTANT On vehicles as of 2.6.08 or with code (809) Model year 2009 disconnect trunk socket connector from trunk socket before removing right paneling (13).  
14 Remove pocket hooks (15) IMPORTANT The bag hooks (15) can be removed separately.
The number of bag hooks (15) depends on vehicle model.
 
15 Remove clips (16) IMPORTANT The number of clips (16) depends on vehicle model.  
16 Remove upper paneling (17) IMPORTANT The upper paneling (17) can be removed with the left paneling (12) and the right paneling (13) installed.
On model 216 the upper paneling (17) is additionally hooked into clips in the center area of the trunk lid seal.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Hook upper paneling (17) into lugs (arrows B) and position left paneling (12) or right paneling (13).
 
17 Install in the reverse order
