	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position	Model 204.0/2/9.
		MODEL 204 with ENGINE 156, 271, 272, 274, 276, 642, 646, 651 MODEL 207 with ENGINE 271, 272, 273, 276.9, 278, 642, 651	AR88.40-P-1000EW
		MODEL 172.4 with ENGINE 651	AR88.40-P-1000V
2.1	Remove engine air intake duct (2)	Engine 271 (except 271.8), 274, 646, 651 in model 204MOTOR 271, 651 in model 207
2.2	Remove air guide between air filter housing and turbocharger	ENGINE 271.8
2.3	Remove front engine cover and engine air intake ducts upstream of air filter housing	Engines 156, 272, 273, 276
2.4	Remove engine cover and engine air intake ducts upstream of air filter housing	Engine 642 Ignition switched off.
3	Remove cold air intake (1)	Pull unlocking catch (16) (arrow A) and press unlocking catch (15) (arrow A). Model 204.9: Unclip rubber seal in the area of center reinforcement (6) and set aside.
4	Remove radiator trim	ENGINE 156 in MODEL 204	AR88.40-P-4001CW
5	Remove covers (3) for lamp units	Except model 207 with engine 272, 642 Only if fitted.
6	Remove holder (4) to radiator	Except model 207 with engine 272, 642
7	Remove screw/bolts (5, 7, 8) and remove center reinforcement(6)	ENGINE 156, 271, 272, 274, 276, 642, 646, 651 in MODEL 204 ENGINE 271, 272, 273, 276.9, 278, 642, 651 in MODEL 207	*BA62.30-P-1003-02G

8	Unclip retaining lug (12) for upper air ducting (11) from fan unit (10)
9	Remove engine compartment paneling	ENGINE 156 in MODEL 204 (except 204.9) ENGINE 278 in MODEL 207	AR61.20-P-1105EW
10	Remove soundproofing	ENGINE 651 in MODEL 172	AR94.30-P-5300W
11	Disconnect electrical connection (9) on fan unit (10)
12	Unclip electrical wiring harness on fan unit (10) and place to one side	Replace cable tie.
13	Detach vacuum hose from the radiator shutters adjuster	Only if fitted.
14	Disconnect electrical connection at the radiator shutters adjuster	Only if fitted.
15	Detach coolant line holder from the front cover on left cylinder head	Model 207 with engine 273
16	Press unlocking fishplates (14) apart (arrows) and unclip lower air ductings (13) on the left and right from the fan unit (10)
17	Remove screw/bolt for transmission oil cooling lines to fan unit (10)	Only if fitted.
18	Unclip coolant line on fan unit (10)	Only if fitted.
19	Unhook fan unit (10) from radiator mount and pull out upwards
20	Install in the reverse order
