When reusing previously installed window
- Level remaining glue bead on window down to a thickness of approx. 1 mm using scraper.
- Remove loose adhesive material.
- Position sealing frame at one window corner, push down with thumb and pull onto window by moving up and down quickly.
Do not coat sealing frame with lubricants to facilitate installation. Otherwise leakage is not possible.

Remove sealing frame (2) at side in center (arrow C) from window over a length of 400 mm.

Apply adhesive to joint groove (13) on sealing frame (2).
Use 2 mm application nozzle (14).

Install sealing frame (2) on window.

Remove glue excess.
- Install cup suction tool from outside on window and center in window cutout.
- Glue adhesive strip (12) at side and at upper window edge (arrows) and separate using sharp knife.
- Check whether sheet metal flange runs parallel to window. Remove window at a distance of > 8, reposition sheet metal flange, then check distance again.
- Remove window.
- Wipe adhesive area with moist rag from glass cleaning set included and rub dry with dry cloth from glass cleaning set.
Do not use commercially available cleaners.
Otherwise adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.
- Repair damaged primer layer with primer.
Shake primer tube min. 30 s before use. To open, hold threaded primer tube connection pointing upwards, and screw felt applicator on to stop.
- Check primer coat.
The primer is applied properly when the screen print in the application area is opaque to light (flashlight test). If more than 12 hours have expired since leveling the adhesive bead in the window cutout apply primer to adhesive bead. Allow primer to air-dry for min. 10 minutes.
When installing new window
- Clean window with commercially available glass cleaner and check for scratches and damage.
- Clean marked bonding surface on inner mirror bracket (arrow) with acetone.
- Apply adhesive from repair kit to bonding surface.
Observe instructions of use for repair kit.
- Glue bracket to marked surface and press on for 30 s.
Observe installation position of dovetail fit. The narrow side should point upward.

- Apply primer onto the windshield's bonding surface directly on the sealing strip.
Shake primer tube min. 30 s before use. To open, hold threaded primer tube connection pointing upwards, and screw felt applicator on to stop. Hold application sponge in longitudinal direction at sides (narrow application A) and in lateral direction at top and bottom (wide application B).
Allow primer to air-dry for min. 10 minutes.
- Check primer coat.
