- Undo self-locking nut of tie rod joint (10a).
Mount thrust piece (045).
- Pry off tie rod joint (10a)
using puller (044).
Do not damage the rubber boot otherwise grease will escape from the tie rod joint. This results in increased wear.
Remove puller (044) and
thrust piece (045).
Installation
- Clean tapered connection.
The cone and thread must be free of grease and oil
- Replace self-locking nut and screw on
. If necessary, counterhold ball head using an Allen wrench.
