	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under load	Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary. 1	Remove rear wheels.
	Remove and install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
2	Detach propeller shaft (2) from rear axle center assembly	While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the of the parts will be reduced. Flexible disk remains on propeller shaft.
		Self-locking nut, flexible coupling to rear propeller shaft or rear axle differential.	*BA41.10-P-1002-01A
3	Slacken flexible coupling fitted sleeves on flange.	If the fitted sleeves are jammed: ↓	AR41.10-P-0050-09I
		Produce drift for detaching the fitting sleeves in the flexible coupling.	WF58.50-P-4110-01A
4	Unscrew bolts (5/1) and remove diagonal struts (5) at the rear	Installation: The bolts on the diagonal struts may only be tightened when the vehicle is resting with its wheels on the ground.

5	Remove cross strut (4) with front exhaust rubber mount	Check front exhaust rubber mount, replace if damaged.
		Screws for lateral strut on frame floor	*BA61.10-P-1007-01C
6	Push down rear exhaust rubber mounts off retaining brackets	To simplify removal: Apply liquid lubricant to the retaining brackets and the holes of the rear exhaust rubber mounts. Do not push down or remove the center exhaust rubber mounts from the retaining brackets. The exhaust remains secured to the axle. Check the rear exhaust rubber mount, replace if damaged.

7	Unclip lines (7) for rear RPM sensor and brake pad contact sensor from brackets (8) on rear axle carrier

9	Remove bolts (6) and lower rear axle	Lower rear axle no more than 150 mm. The brake hoses (arrow) must not be subjected to tension Installation: Tighten the rear threaded connection first.

10	Detach stabilizer bar (1) from link rods (9)		*BA32.20-P-1002-04G
11	Detach link rods (9) from wheel carriers (10)	Check joints and rubber boots of link rod (9) for damage, replace link rod (9) if necessary.

12	Undo threaded connections (3) of stabilizer bar (1) on rear axle carrier		*BA32.20-P-1003-04G
13	Remove stabilizer bar (1) from rear axle carrier in direction of travel
14	Install in the reverse order
