	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Remove left-hand luggage box in rear		AR68.30-P-7440R
2	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
3	Remove stowage box		AR68.20-P-2320R
4	Release fiber optic cable connectors (4) from telephone interface (A34/4) and detach	To avoid damaging the fiber optic cable, do not kink fiber optic cables, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.
5	Cover fiber optic cable	To avoid damaging the fiber optic cable, do not kink fiber optic cables, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.	AR82.95-P-0005-01A
6	Unscrew nuts (1).
7	Remove control unit bracket (2)
8	Remove bolts (3)
9	Remove telephone interface (A34/4)
10	Install in the reverse order
11	Carry out function check
