| 1 | Reduce vacuum in brake booster | If this is the case, new brake booster must be fitted. |

| 2 | Open engine hood and raise to vertical position | AR88.40-P-1000GZ | |
| 3 | Detach rubber seal (1) at left partition wall section (4) | ||
| 4 | Remove bolt (2) | ||
| 5 | Unclip section of the left partition wall (4) at the clips (3) | ||
| 6 | Unlock and disconnect diaphragm travel sensor connector (5) | ||
| 7 | Raise lock washer (7) and pull BAS diaphragm travel sensor (6) out of the brake booster (arrow B) | ||
| Lubricant | *BR00.45-Z-1002-06A | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 9 | Read out fault memory | STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system | *WH58.30-Z-1048-13A |
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | AD00.00-P-2000-04A | ||
| Risk of death caused by body parts being pulled in by rotating vehicle wheels and roller dynamometer rollers | Do not insert your hand into rotating parts. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Safeguard areas with rotating vehicle parts and dynamometer rollers against unauthorized access. Safeguard roller dynamometer from unauthorized access. |
