Replace brake hoses - AR42.10-P-0013GZ

7.12.11 Value modified: Brake pipe to brake hose Model 166 *BA42.10-P-1002-04J 
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects. Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

1 Detach corresponding complete wheel Model 164 AP40.10-P-4050Z
Model 166 AP40.10-P-4050EW
CLEAN Clean     
2 Clean the area around the brake line (1) and brake hose (2) in the area of the separation points NOTES Before opening the brake system, the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the SBC system.  
LU cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
3 Detach brake line (1) from brake hose (2) NOTES Counterhold on two flats of brake hose (2) using an open end wrench. Seal connections immediately. Otherwise, escaping brake fluid may damage adjacent components.
Model 166: Rear axle brake caliper (4) must not be drained. Otherwise it must be replaced.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Do not twist bracket (3).

4 Detach brake hose (2) from bracket (6) Model 166  
5 Unscrew brake hose (2) from brake caliper (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1001-04J 
SPECIAL TOOL Fig 5
6 Detach brake hose (2) from bracket (5) Model 164 at front axle  
SPECIAL TOOL Fig 7
7 Detach brake hose (2) from bracket (6) Model 164  
8 Install in the reverse order    
CLEAN Clean     
9 Use water to rinse off any escaped brake fluid    
10 Bleed brake system Model 164 AR42.10-P-0010GZ

INSPECT Checking     
11 Check brake system for leaks   AR42.10-P-0100-01GZ
12 Carry out brake test on the test stand   AP42.00-P-4290BA
