Disconnect/connect battery's ground cable - AR54.10-P-0003GZ

	Remove/install
	Notes on battery	All models	AH54.10-P-0001-01A
	Notes on AGM battery		AH54.10-P-0002-01A
1	Move front passenger seat (1) toward front as far as possible.
2	Switch off all electrical consumers	All the electrical consumers must be switched off, otherwise they may be damaged when unclipping and clipping on ground line (4).
3	Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit	On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
4	Remove cover (2).	Mounting wedge	Fig 2
5	Loosen nut (3) on battery negative pole clamp and disconnect ground line (4) of battery (G1)	Ensure that no jumper start device is connected to vehicle.

6	Install in the reverse order
7	Perform basic programming		AR00.19-P-0200GZ
8	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if necessary	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
