Replace brake hoses - AR42.10-P-0013GZ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A 
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

1 Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000GZ
2 Remove wheels    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050Z
CLEANING Clean     
3 Clean the area around the brake line (1) and brake hose (2) in the area of the separation points NOTES The area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly before opening the brake system. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the SBC brake system.  
    LU cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
4 Detach brake line (1) from brake hose (2) NOTES Seal brake line (1) immediately using stop plug. The reservoir must not run empty otherwise air gets into the system.
IMPORTANT When loosening and tightening the brake line (1) at the brake hose (2) ensure that the bracket (3) is not twisted. Therefore counterhold at the two flats of the brake hose (2) using a fork wrench.

5 Unscrew brake hose (2) from floating brake caliper (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1001-04J

6 Detach brake hose (2) from steering knuckle bracket (5) IMPORTANT When removing a brake hose (2) from the front axle.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Installation position must be observed.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Use new cable tie.

7 Detach brake hose (2) from brake hose clip (6)    
8 Install in the reverse order IMPORTANT Tighten all union nuts and bolts on the brake hose by hand first. Ensure free of tension assembly of brake line (1) and brake hose (2), then tighten union nuts and bolts.  
9 Use water to rinse off any escaped brake fluid.    
10 Bleed brake system   AR42.10-P-0010GZ 
INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

11 Check brake system for leaks   AR42.10-P-0100-01GZ 
DANGER Risk of death  caused by body parts being pulled in by rotating vehicle wheels and roller dynamometer rollers Do not insert your hand into rotating parts.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Safeguard areas with rotating vehicle parts and dynamometer rollers against unauthorized access.
Safeguard roller dynamometer from unauthorized access.

12 Perform a function test
