Pressure supply, function - GF32.22-P-4010GZ
MODEL 164.1 /8 with CODE (489) Airmatic (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS)
MODEL 164.8
with CODE (489) AIRmatic (air suspension with level adjustment without ADS adaptive damping system)
with CODE (494) USA version
Shown on model 164.1
During normal operation the AIRmatic functions with a pressure of between 6 and 11 bar depending on the load.
An electrical air compressor is used for pressure supply. This compressor is integrated in the AIRmatic compressor unit. The AIRmatic valve unit distributes the air pressure to the individual suspension struts on the front and rear axles.
In addition, the system also has an AIRmatic central reservoir in which the compressed air is stored. The receiver pressure is approx. 16 bars (at sea level) and is monitored by the AIRmatic pressure sensor (Y36b1).
The system is supplied with pressure either via the AIRmatic central reservoir or via the air compressor.
The AIRmatic pressure sensor is integrated into the AIRmatic valve unit.
