Task

By turning the level control selector wheel in the appropriate direction, it is possible to manually adjust the vehicle level according to driver requirements.

The maximum raised height is 110 mm above the highway level.

IMPORTANT In the locked position (vehicle raised), actuation of the level actuators is suppressed by the AIRmatic control unit (N51).

Function

The signals from the level control selector wheel are sent from the lower control panel control unit to the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) via the LIN bus and then read in. The information is transmitted over the CAN interior to the central gateway control unit (N93). There the information is transmitted to the AIRmatic control unit via the engine compartment CAN.

Actuation of the level control function indicator (N72e4) in the level control selector wheel is performed in the reverse direction.

During the raising and lowering procedure, the level control function indicator in the level control selector wheel flashes until the selected level is reached.

A lamp test is run when the ignition is switched off and as long as the engine is not running.

After starting the engine the current driver command is displayed.
