  1. Grind mating surfaces on rear crossmember inner section (4) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
  2. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  3. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot welding flange (except area KB).

  4. Grind mating surfaces in cross-hatched areas on reinforcement (2) down to bare metal on both sides.
  5. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  6. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot welding flange (except area UB).

  7. Mark separation points in areas A and B on D-ring and cut

    IMPORTANT Dimension X1 = 195 mm. Dimension X2 = 680 mm. Use top edges of both holes in D-ring as reference points

  8. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas A, B and Y of D-ring section (3) on one side.
  9. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in remaining areas on both sides.
  10. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  11. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot welding flange (except areas A, B, Y and Z).

  12. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas of lock carrier reinforcement (6) on both sides.
  13. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  14. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot weld flanges.

  15. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas of lock carrier (5) on both sides.
  16. Drill holes for SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD at marked points in areas Y and Z.

    IMPORTANT Use dia. 7 mm hole punching pliers COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS .

  17. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  18. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot welding flange (except areas Y and Z).

  19. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas of rear crossmember outer section (8) on both sides.
  20. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  21. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot weld flanges.

  22. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas of side luggage compartment floor (1) on both sides.
  23. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  24. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot welding flange (except range NC).

  25. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas of wheelhouse extension (10) on both sides.
  26. Remove grinding chips using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  27. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot weld flanges.
