Location

The hybrid fully integrated transmission controller unit is mounted under the transmission housing and is constantly rinsed with transmission oil. The hybrid fully integrated transmission control unit is integrated into the hybrid fully integrated transmission controller unit.

Task

General

The power electronics control unit (N129/1) determines the vehicle's instantaneous operating condition and forwards the signals to the hybrid fully integrated transmission control unit, which actuates all the gear change sequences taking ease of shifting and driving situation into consideration.

Flash programming

The transmission control system in the control unit for the hybrid fully integrated transmission control is flashable i.e. the complete software in the control unit can be changed (replaced). The software required for control unit programming is stored on the STAR DIAGNOSIS DAS update DVD ( iagnose- ssistance ystem).

CAN data bus

The control unit for the hybrid fully integrated transmission control is connected via the hybrid CAN (CAN L) to the vehicle's CAN network, and exchanges data with other control units.

Input and output signals

The following input signals are evaluated by the control unit for the hybrid fully integrated transmission control and the appropriate output signals are generated:

Direct input signals

Direct output signals

CAN input signals

Intelligent servo module for DIRECT SELECT (A80)

EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)

Regenerative braking system control unit (N30/6)

Steering column tube module (N80)

ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)

Rear SAM control unit (N10/8)

Power electronics control unit (N129/1)

Central gateway control unit (N93)

CAN output signals

Instrument cluster (A1)

Regenerative braking system control unit

ME-SFI [ME] control unit

Central gateway control unit

Power electronics control unit

Design

The hybrid fully integrated transmission controller unit consists of a plastic supporting body in which the following components are combined:

The conductor track film, which is inserted in the supporting body, makes the connection between the electrical components and the 16-pin plug coupling.

Apart from the solenoid valves all the other electrical components are permanently connected to the conductor track foil.

The connection to the cable set on the vehicle side is made with a 16-pin plug connection with bayonet lock.
