Sectional view of transmission
Location
The hybrid fully integrated transmission controller unit is mounted under the transmission housing and is constantly rinsed with transmission oil. The hybrid fully integrated transmission control unit is integrated into the hybrid fully integrated transmission controller unit.
Task
General
The power electronics control unit (N129/1) determines the vehicle's instantaneous operating condition and forwards the signals to the hybrid fully integrated transmission control unit, which actuates all the gear change sequences taking ease of shifting and driving situation into consideration.
Flash programming
The transmission control system in the control unit for the hybrid fully integrated transmission control is flashable i.e. the complete software in the control unit can be changed (replaced). The software required for control unit programming is stored on the STAR DIAGNOSIS DAS update DVD (D iagnose-A ssistance S ystem).
CAN data bus
The control unit for the hybrid fully integrated transmission control is connected via the hybrid CAN (CAN L) to the vehicle's CAN network, and exchanges data with other control units.

Design
The hybrid fully integrated transmission controller unit consists of a plastic supporting body in which the following components are combined:
- Hybrid fully integrated transmission control unit with integrated gear oil temperature sensor
- Transmission oil temperature sensor
- Working pressure control solenoid valve
- Clutch control solenoid valve K1
- Clutch control solenoid valve K2
- Brake control solenoid valve B1
- Brake control solenoid valve B2
The conductor track film, which is inserted in the supporting body, makes the connection between the electrical components and the 16-pin plug coupling.
Apart from the solenoid valves all the other electrical components are permanently connected to the conductor track foil.
The connection to the cable set on the vehicle side is made with a 16-pin plug connection with bayonet lock.
