Location 

The right front door control unit is located on the door module behind the door trim.

Task 

The right front door control unit has the following tasks:

• Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals 
• Evaluation of input factors 
• Controlling function sequences 
• Actuation of components 

Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

• Direct line 
• Interior CAN 

Direct line 

The following sensors are read in via a direct line:

• Right front IR receiver unit (A26/2) only driver side) (with code (498) Japan version)
• Hall sensor in right front power window motor (M10/4)
• Mirror up/down adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r2)
• Mirror in/out adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r3)

The following switches are read in via a direct line:

• Right interior CL switch (S85/6)

Interior CAN 

The signals are read in by the right front door control unit via the interior CAN.

The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Controlling function sequences 

The right front door control unit controls the following function sequences:

• Passenger side power window adjustment
• Passenger side outside mirror adjustment

Actuation of components 

Components are actuated with the following line:

• Direct line

The following components are actuated via a direct line:

• Right outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/6)
• Right front door entrance and exit lamp (E17/4)
• Right front door inside handle illumination (E17/12)
• Right front power window motor
• Right front door CL [ZV] motor (M14/5)
• Right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2)
  • Right outside mirror ambient lamp (M21/2e1)
  • Right blind spot assist readiness and warning indicator (M21/2e2) (as of 1.6.10 with code (234) Blind spot assist)
  • Mirror adjustment up/down motor (M21/2m1)
  • Mirror adjustment up/out motor (M21/2m2)
  • Power folding mirror (M21/2m3) (with code (500) Left/right folding outside mirror)
  • Mirror heater (M21/2r1)

The right front door control unit supplies the connected controls with power from circuit 58d.
